When Northeast Baptist Church began in 1985, its founders were willing to sacrifice the security of large, established church homes in order to reach more of Norman. Our foundation has been to trust God and do what is necessary to expand God’s work in this church. And just as we have been obedient in expanding God’s kingdom since our beginning, we have a responsibility to prepare for everyone who will someday walk through our doors.
Come be the church! We will reach out to our community and members through phone calls, visits and cards. Childcare provided.
GHR(Global Hunger Relief) is an initiative of Southern Baptists. GHR-funded projects combat hunger in North America and around the world in a wide variety of ways, from participating in disaster relief to addressing chronic hunger, from eliminating urban food deserts to helping women rescued from sex trafficking—and much more.
Only Global Hunger Relief uses 100% of all contributions to feed hungry people. (Personnel are already in place; thus, administrative and promotional costs are borne out of other budgets.) Twenty cents of every dollar is sent to the North American Mission Board. These funds are used to support hunger projects in the United States and Canada. Eighty cents of every dollar is sent to the International Mission Board. These funds are used for direct hunger ministry as well as water well drilling, agricultural education, water purification, etc.
