As a church, we want to be known for our extraordinary generosity — both time and money — toward those in our local community. Norman and the Oklahoma City Metro has many organizations that we partner with and/or support. Each opportunity to serve will have a description, requirements, and a point of contact to get you started. Thank you for your interest in serving with Northeast!


THE CENTER OUTREACH

Responsibilities: Participate in outreach program to surrounding community. Visit four pre-determined addresses, ask for prayer requests, pray with people.

Time Commitment: 1 hour each week.

APARTMENT OUTREACH

Responsibilities: Visit and pray for residents of the Garland Square Apartments, located just west of the church.

Time Commitment: 15-20 minutes once per month.

EDEN CLINIC

Responsibilities: Several opportunities available.

TRANSITIONS MINISTRY

Responsibilities: Gathering school & personal supplies for needy high school students.

MISSION NORMAN

Responsibilities: Many opportunities available. Mission Norman is a non-profit organization that is supported solely by volunteers and charitable individuals. Mission Norman's goal is to spread Christ's love to Central Oklahoma through works of service and love. To accomplish this goal, Mission Norman works through two different branches: its Bible studies on the housing sites and its food pantry. Both are important parts of Mission Norman.

UBA DISASTER RELIEF TEAM

Responsibilities: Many opportunities available, including Chainsaw Crews, Shower Truck Teams, Food Service, etc.

EISENHOWER ELEMENTARY MINISTRY

Responsibilities: Many opportunities available, including reading programs, PTA Fairs, test monitors, etc. Background check required.

VAN MINISTRY

Responsibilities: Locate and identify children to be picked up to attend Awanas. Background check and valid driver’s license required.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEALS

Responsibilities: Prepare meals for children attending AWANAs, cleanup afterwards.
