A special guest will join us Sunday, September 6! Rev. Marc Ira Hooks will offer the message, and it's sure to keep you captivated.

Rev. Hooks has served with the Southern Baptist International Mission Board (IMB) as a missionary, photojournalist and church planner since 2007 and has lived in Moscow, Prague and Vienna.

Hooks' photography crosses more than 30 countries and has been published around the globe, both in print and online. His passion for Eastern Europe took him to Russia, where he traveled the country documenting some of the many different indigenous people groups across that vast country. Now based in Vienna, Austria, his photo essays and street portraits from across Europe capture a cross-section of Everyday life and tell the stories of the places and people whom he has met along the way.

Educated at Oklahoma Baptist University, Hooks is a regular contributor to various IMB publications and Baptist Press. He also is an instructor with The Academy—an IMB project designed to train IMB personnel and Southern Baptist mission teams how to use media to document and share what God is doing around the world.

During his Stateside Assignment, he and his wife, Kellye, reside in McKinney, Texas with their teenage son, John. They also have two adult children—Sarah Beth and Hannah.
